Step Conference is an annual technology and innovation conference in Dubai, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, startups, and industry leaders from all over the world to discuss the latest trends in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I had the privilege of attending the Step Conference this year and meeting some very sustainability-focused investors and startups. The conference was filled with amazing initiatives to reduce our impact on the planet. This year marked also the launch of the “Earth stage”, animated by “C3”, a startup accelerator, as they introduce themself. There, I had the opportunity to hear several interesting interventions for example from “+VC” founder, Hasan Haider. Who explained that his venture company focused on conscient investment and lowering its carbon footprint through its startup investments. This shows a desire from every actor to step in the right direction.
Technology and innovation can promote sustainability through the development of new business models that prioritize sustainability. By embedding sustainability into their core business practices, companies can create value for their shareholders, customers, and society as a whole.
