The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has long been at the forefront of sustainable development, championing initiatives that align with global environmental goals. Central to this mission is the Majra Sustainable Impact Challenge, an initiative by the National CSR Fund (Majra) designed to recognize and support transformative sustainability projects across the nation.
Majra: The Catalyst for Sustainable Change
Majra, the UAE’s National CSR Fund, serves as a federal entity dedicated to amplifying the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability efforts within the private sector. By aligning these initiatives with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national priorities, Majra fosters a collaborative environment where businesses can thrive while contributing positively to society and the environment.
The Sustainable Impact Challenge: A Platform for Innovation
Launched under the patronage of H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of Majra’s Board of Trustees, the Sustainable Impact Challenge is more than just a competition; it’s a movement. The challenge invites private companies, SMEs, and third-sector organizations across the UAE to showcase their impactful CSR and sustainability projects. With a total prize pool of AED 750,000, the initiative offers both financial support and national recognition to projects that demonstrate measurable contributions to environmental, social, and economic goals.
Selection Process: Combining Public Engagement and Expert Evaluation
The challenge employs a two-tiered selection process:
Public Voting: The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite projects, fostering community engagement and awareness.
Expert Review: The top 100 projects, based on public votes, undergo a thorough evaluation by Majra and subject matter experts. Criteria include the project’s scope, scale, duration, and the evidence of its impact.
The culmination of this process is the Sustainable Impact Awards ceremony, where the top 20 projects are recognized, and the top three receive substantial cash prizes:
First Place: AED 300,000
Second Place: AED 200,000
Third Place: AED 100,000
Additionally, three projects receive special recognition awards of AED 50,000 each .

Merely wanna input that you have a very nice website , I like the design and style it really stands out.
I do like the manner in which you have framed this particular situation plus it really does provide me personally some fodder for consideration. However, because of just what I have observed, I really trust when the actual commentary stack on that folks keep on point and don’t start upon a tirade regarding some other news of the day. Still, thank you for this fantastic piece and while I can not agree with it in totality, I regard the viewpoint.
