One of the key projects discussed in the film is L’Oréal’s effort to create a sustainable dry factory in Mexico that reuses 100% of its water. This is a marvelous project however raises important questions about the company’s overall impact on the environment, particularly regarding the quantity of plastic used in its own products…
The film also showcases a unique African project that saves the health of people using this unique home toilet service. After collection the company treats the feces and turns it into a substitute for charcoal, reducing the need for classic charcoal.

In the Netherlands, the “Water Alliance” is working towards household water recycling and the role technology can play in reducing water usage. Narrated by Liam Neeson, the film ultimately raises the question of what individuals can do to be part of the solution and suggests that everyone can play their part by being mindful of their own water usage, researching new technologies, supporting companies that are leaders in sustainable water management, and pressuring their governments to take tangible action.
